Having shiny hair is a bonus for your beauty. Most people with straight hair are likely to have shiny hair. However, it doesn’t mean that curly hair is not shiny. After all, the shine of your hair largely depends on the health as well as smoothness of your cuticles that represent your hair’s protective layers. But cuticle is sometimes stripped away from your hair due to excess use of stylers, products containing harsh elements and over exposure to cumulative UV rays. This apparently causes your hair to appear brittle, dull and lifeless. So here are some effective tips to protect your cuticles and add to the glossiness of your hair.
Use shampoos and conditioner with mild ingredients. Say a big no to hair care products containing sulfates and alcohol. Instead of using hair dryer, dry your hair gently with soft towel. Apply a leave-in treatment with sunscreen elements to protect your hair from the damages of sunlight. Further, never use stylers on your hair without shielding it with a heat protectant spray or gel.
Most importantly, eat healthy foods with high content of proteins, vitamins and zinc. Likewise, drink six to eight glasses of water daily, as this will keep your body and scalp healthy by removing all kinds of toxins. Above all, deep condition your hair using ingredients like olive oil, avocado, honey and jojoba oil every week.
